WHAT IS SEO | DEFINITION OF SEO in Digital Marketing

    SEO is the abbreviation for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” or “natural” search results on search engines like google, bing, yahoo etc
You may have a properly designed website and proper navigation with effective images & graphics, video and good colouring done to your website but if no knows about your website over the net, it is of no use. Here is a place where SEO comes in between

2) GREY HAT SEO – they are those types of activities that fall somewhere between white and black hat categories in a variety of practices. They are not 100% illegal but at the same time are not entirely honest. Some gray hat techniques are purchasing old domains, social networking automation. This technique may result in short term gain

3) BLACK HAT SEO- They are illegal ways of ranking website in higher positions in search engines results page and tricking them but know one thing search engines are getting smarter and smarter and if they find that you are using this illegal method, , your website may be dropped and your website may also be banned to a certain extent. It’s a bad way to manipulate or cheat search engines, so don’t follow it at all

Onpage SEO – which consist of keyword analysis, targeting & selection, market research, competitor analysis, site validations, selection, meta tags creation, title tags creations, description creation, anchor text & alt tags creations, permalinks and selction of a preferred domain, dynamic and static URLs, html & xml sitemap creations & submissions etc.

2. Offpage SEO – which consists of all linking building techniques like directory submissions, social bookmarkings, social networking sites, profile creations, URL submissions, search engine submissions, classified submission, business listing, review listings, yahoo answers, Q & A sites, blog commenting & blog submissions , guest blogging etc.

3. Content SEO – updating content, quality content, fresh content, evergreen content, content optimization etc.

4. Post SEO – getting feedback, checking analytics and webmasters tools, other analytics tools etc etc.
